Re: GameTDB Wii NTSC-U EN list

Sorry, I made a mistake and I should clarify: It is very likely the Wii startup discs existed as physical DVD discs, however no physical copies have been spotted in the wild. The digital copies that exist came from the "Gigaleak", which was a breach of Nintendo's databases.

The Wii Vault is based on Redump's database of known good dumps of physical discs. Discs must first be confirmed by the Redump project by examining at least two independent disc dumps to ensure consistency.

The Country Dance demo disc is known to exist physically and was given away at participating Best Buy locations for a limited time, but has become hard to find as a result of its disposable nature. As a result, no one has yet dumped the disc and uploaded it to Redump for verification.

RAAE is the internal code for a pair of Wii startup utilities used by Nintendo during the Wii manufacturing process. It is not known whether this refers to a physical disc or to a software utility that would have been loaded via USB or other means. The only known leaks are from digital sources and not physical discs, which is why it is not included in the Redump database at the moment. Until physical copies are found and dumped, it will remain absent from Redump and thus from Vimm as well.
