Are you using the right codes for your version of the game and inputting them at the right points? Action Replay codes are very sensitive to these factors. Some might also need to be turned off before certain points in the game.

Was Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness put together with strings? The game breaks so easily if you input even a single code. I'm just trying to do an all female run with a code to make all event, Shadow, and Wild mons female (if applicable), but the minute I enter a cutscene or exit a menu, it crashes with the high-pitched whine.
